Probate

Represented the surviving spouse with the formal appointment as personal representative of deceased spouse’s estate without the original will.  Couple previously prepared estate plan with another attorney.  Husband unexpectedly died, but spouse could not locate original will and was required to open a probate to transfer assets out of the deceased husband’s name.  DeAngelis Legal succeeded in having the Probate Court accept the copy of the will into probate and appoint the surviving spouse as personal representative through a formal probate proceeding, even though the original will was missing.
