October 2017 Estate Planning

Represented husband with post-marital agreement and simple estate plan.  While his assets were modest, their finances were complicated by wife’s creditors.  Husband considered holding title in the name of a third party, but that solution resulted in many drawbacks including inability to borrow against the assets, loss of control and added third party risks.  DeAngelis Legal proposed a marital agreement to define the rights and obligations of the parties and terms for Husband’s estate plan which protected his assets from Wife’s creditors, allowed Husband to retain title and control over the assets and eliminate the third party risks.
